I am broadly interested in the evolutionary history of terrestrial invertebrates and understanding mechanisms of biodiversity genesis, specifically in island systems. I study a variety of animals (spiders, myriapods, velvet worms), and use phylogenomics to decipher relationships and reconstruct biogeographic histories. I formerly worked on the biogeography and systematics of Caribbean Micrathena spiders during my master’s at the University of Vermont. I love all inverts and one vertebrate (my dog) and enjoy scientific illustration and collecting orchids!
